joy in the garden:

white roses, blue lobelia,

agapanthus, alyssum.

hummingbirds, phoebes,

gnatcatchers.

hiding cat.

beyond the borders of my yard--

a creek, the sea,

a hillside where raptors hunt.

everywhere, no matter where i look,

the sky.
